ANNOUNCEMENTS: StuCo is bringing back Mr. SHENANDOAH! This male beauty pageant slash talent show is going to be held Saturday April 18th at 3:00pm. If you are a junior or senior male interested in competing in Mr. Shenandoah, please attend an informational meeting on Tuesday March 31st at 7:40 in Mrs. Palmer's room. There is an order form in the office for Tennis shirts. If you are interested, please stop by the office and pick up an order form. Money and forms are due to Connie on Friday. Interested in becoming a better leader? Attend Iowa Leadership Training Camp where students will learn leadership skills. Camp will be held June 15 – 18, 2020 at Grand View University with the theme “Envision the Leader You Want to Become.” Colleges and businesses look for students with the leadership skills that are taught at camp. The comment that I hear from students most often is, “I wish I had done this sooner.” Anyone going into 9th – 12th grade is eligible to attend. Registration is now open. For more information or to register for camp go to http://www.iowastudentcouncils.org/camp/. If you are interested in Lifeguarding this season-applications are at city hall. If you need to take the course, please call the YMCA in Red Oak. If you have questions, please contact Aquatic Director, Gabby Sparks at 712-246-8560 or at the elementary. There is a sign up sheet in the office if you are planning to take Dr. Ed. this summer. Interested in weather, especially severe weather? Attend Storm Spotter Training put on by the National Weather Service out of Omaha. FREE and open to the public. Thu, April 9, 7:00pm – 8:30pm at the Shenandoah Fire Station. Training includes basic understanding of thunderstorm structure, spotting and reporting criteria, and safety information. See Mrs. Palmer if you have questions.
FCCLA: FCCLA will be selling ribbons this week to promote cancer awareness month. They are 25 cents each and will be available before school and during lunches.
